Google started a new feature which allows you to set a background image in the Google search home page. This looks a very simple feature but it is absolutely a very useful for those people who get bored with the white background of Google search home page.
To add the background image to Google home page, you first need to login with your Google account. The selected background image will be saved for your ID and whenever you will be logged-in with that Google ID, your previously selected image will become the background image of the Google home page. That means it doesn’t mater which computer you are using, your previously set background image will be there on Google homepage whenever and wherever you logged-in with your Google ID.
Following are the various steps to set the background image in the Google home page:
Step-1: Open the Google home page and click on "Sign in" to login with your Google account:
Step-2: Enter your Google ID and Password and click on "SignI in":
Step-3: Click "Change background image" link in the bottom left corner of the Google home page:
Step-4: Choose the location of your background image. It can be one of the following four options:
From my computer: Select an image saved on your computer.
My Picasa Web photos: Select an image from your Picasa Web Albums.
Public gallery: Select from public photos featured in Picasa Web Albums.
Editor's picks: Select from a set of Google recommended images.
Step-5: After selecting an image, click on the "Select" button to set the selected image as the background of the Google home page. It will look like as below:
To remove the background image from Google home page, click on "Remove background image" link in the bottom left corner of the Google home page:
