Apple iPhone 4G HD

With iPhone, Apple has taken the technology and innovation to new heights and created a new cult of gadget lovers. Since the release of its first version of iPhone, all other mobile phone companies are try to create iPhone killer mobile phones and releasing one after another. But the fact is iPhone still stands tall as compared to all other mobile phones and the cult of iPhone lovers growing exponentially.

While other mobile phone companies are still trying to create mobile phones to compete iPhone, Apple is all set to launch the next version of iPhone - iPhone 4G HD.

Apple chief executive Steve Jobs on Monday 7th June unveiled the fourth generation iPhone, the iPhone 4G, at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Most likely iPhone 4G will be hit the market in the last week of June or first week of July, 2010.

iPhone 4G comes with a faster processor (New Apple A4 Processor), a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 960-by-640 pixels with a pixel density of 326 ppi and a dual 5 megapixel camera with LED flash that can shoot HD videos also.

iPhone 4G supports 2G, 3G and 4G networks.  iPhone 4G also supports GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi® 802.11b/g/n, USB v2.0, and  Bluetooth® v2.1 with A2DP and EDR wireless technology which makes it perfect for any both cable-based and wireless connectivity.

The battery of the latest version of the iPhone offers up to 7 hours of talk time over the 3G network. But a person using the phone to talk over the 2G network gets a longer talk time up to 14 hours.

iPhone 4G offers excellent internal memory capacity and comes with 16GB and 32GB. The device will be available in two colors: White or black.

Following are the details of other enhancements and new features introduced in iPhone 4G HD:

iPhone 4G design enhancements:

1. Engineered Glass:
All the breakthrough technology in iPhone 4 is situated between two glossy panels of aluminosilicate glass — the same type of glass used in the windshields of helicopters and high-speed trains. Chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic, the glass is ultra durable and more scratch resistant than ever. It’s also recyclable.

2. Retina Display
New 3.5 inch (960-by-640 pixel) LCD display with a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch, making it the highest-resolution phone screen ever. To achieve this, Apple engineers developed pixels so small — a mere 78 micrometers across — that the human eye can’t distinguish individual pixels. That makes text remarkably sharp and graphics incredibly vivid. IPS technology also provides excellent color and contrast from almost any viewing angle.

3. Stainless Steel Band
Created from normal steel and then forged to be five times stronger than standard steel, the CNC-machined band is the mounting point for all the components of iPhone 4G. The band provides impressive structural rigidity and allows for its incredibly thin, refined design. It also functions as both iPhone 4 antennas.

Apple iPhone 4G HD: Apple A4 Processor

1. Apple A4 Processor
Apple engineers designed the A4 chip to be a remarkably powerful yet remarkably power-efficient mobile processor. With it, iPhone 4 can easily perform complex jobs such as multitasking, editing video, and placing Face Time calls. All while maximizing battery life.

2. Microphone and Speaker
iPhone 4 has two microphones. The main microphone, located on the bottom next to the dock connector, is for phone calls, voice commands, and memos. The second microphone, built into the top near the headphone jack, is for Face Time calls and for making your phone calls better. It works with the main microphone to suppress unwanted and distracting background sounds, such as music and loud conversations. This dual- microphone noise suppression helps make every conversation a quiet one.

Apple iPhone 4G HD: 5MP Camera with LED Flash

3. 5MP Camera with LED Flash
iPhone 4 can shoot gorgeous 5-megapixel photos and stunning HD video with its built-in 5MP camera and LED flash. And with its advanced backside illumination sensor, it captures beautiful images even in low-light settings. The built-in LED flash does double duty. When you’re taking pictures, it works as a flash. When you’re shooting video it can stay on to light up the scene. And on the front of iPhone 4, the built-in camera is perfect for making Face Time calls and shooting self-portraits.

4. Gyroscope and Accelerometer
iPhone 4 includes a built-in three-axis gyroscope. When paired with the accelerometer, it makes iPhone 4 capable of advanced motion sensing such as user acceleration, full 3D attitude, and rotation rate. Translation: More motion gestures and greater precision for an even better gaming experience.
